Three people were arrested Monday after the Sedalia Police Departmentís STING Unit found drugs, a rifle and $17,000 cash at a Sedalia home.

At 3:09 p.m., the STING Unit, along with other Sedalia Police Department officers and detectives, served a search warrant to a home at 603 E. 11th St. The warrant was issued for methamphetamine and marijuana.

During the search, officers found more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, with a street value of $5,000, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, an SKS assault rifle and packaging materials, according to a Sedalia Police Department report. Officers also seized $17,000 in cash.

No one was in the home at the time the warrant was served. Three people were later arrested.

Russell N. Livengood, 49, and Priscilla A. Yunt, 66, were arrested on charges of drug trafficking, manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Eric K. Wiser, 31, was arrested on charges of attempted possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.

Livengood, Yunt and Wiser are on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.
