3 face drug charges after STING raid

Three Sedalia residents were arrested Wednesday after police officers found marijuana in their home.


According to reports, officers with the Sedalia Police Departmentís STING Unit served a search warrant at 5:56 a.m. at a residence in the 1400 block of South Carr Avenue. In addition to marijuana, officers found drug packaging supplies, illegal prescription pills, crack cocaine and four handguns.


Sarandon A. Staten, 18, of the 700 block of North Grand Avenue, was charged with possession of a controlled substance; Chiron B. Webb, 21, of the home, is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school; and Jordan Q. Webb, 19, of the home, is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance.


All three suspects are confirmed members of a local gang and the SPD is also seeking gang enhancement charges. They are all being held at the Pettis County Jail on $5,000, $350,000 and $300,000 bonds respectively.
