The voters of the First Ward have the opportunity to elect a uniquely qualified, caring and hometown candidate to represent Sedalia’s First Ward. I have worked with Jim Cunningham for 15 years and have known him and his family for virtually his entire life. I feel he is most worthy of consideration for the position he is seeking in the city council.
Jim and I have worked very closely together through the years. We have served on numerous committees and share a genuine concern for students and the city of Sedalia. Jim has a proven record of dedicated public service. He has served as police officer, juvenile officer, reserve deputy and educator while living his entire life in Sedalia and the last 20 years in the First Ward. He also volunteers his time to serve on local and state committees.
Jim has exceptionally strong interpersonal skills that make him an excellent problem solver and is someone you can count on to get the job done. But more than that, Jim is one of the finest men I have ever known. He has an abundance of patience, is diplomatic, extremely honest and has a strong financial and moral compass. He’s the kind of man that I would trust with my life and wallet and those are increasingly rare these days. Jim is committed to the city of Sedalia and its citizens and I encourage the voters of Sedalia’s First Ward to give my friend a serious consideration when casting their ballots.
