This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

June 16

1:30 p.m.: Corey L. Jones, 34, of the 26000 block of Goodwill Chapel Road, was arrested near the intersection of West Fifth Street and South Limit Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

3:48 p.m.: Samantha S. Kearney-Cripps, 26, of the 400 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested at the Pettis County Jail on a charge of child abuse.

June 17

9:57 a.m.: Gary P. Evans, 38, of the 400 block of South Quincy Avenue, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third-degree domestic assault.

8:42 p.m.: William F. Fitzer, 31, of the 400 block of East 16th Street, was arrested in the 800 block of South Limit Avenue on charges of speeding, careless driving, excessive noise and not having a license plate.


June 15

2:21 p.m.: A hit-and-run was reported in the 2500 block of West 16th Street.

June 17

1:51 p.m.: Identity theft in the form of a collection letter in the amount of $1,900 on an account not opened by the victim was reported in the 500 block of West Sixth Street.

11:51 p.m.: A person on the ground kicking and screaming, who officers believe was high on methamphetamine, was reported in the 100 block of West Fifth Street.
