Bombers win two in Omaha

The Sedalia Bombers swept a Saturday doubleheader in Omaha, beating the Diamond Spirit 10-3 in the first game and 8-2 in the second.

In game one, The Bombers blew the game open with six runs in the fourth.

Alex Bee and Shain Showers both went 3 for 4 in the game. Showers and Hunter Leeper both drove in two runs. Trey Hair and Jordan Dey each homered.

Sam Perez pitched six innings for Sedalia, striking out six and allowing a run on six hits. Hair came on to pitch the seventh.

In game two, The Bombers scored two runs in the fourth to take a 3-1 lead. After Omaha answered with a run in the bottom of the inning, Sedalia broke the game open with two in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Jonathan Ramon went 3 for 4 at the plate. Bee and Cody White each went 2 for 3.

Tyler Tuepker pitched four innings. He struck out three and allowed two runs on four hits.

The Bombers will visit Joplin on Tuesday.
