Deer causes accident in Johnson County
A Warrensburg man was injured in an accident at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.
William J. Morrow, 27, was driving south on state Route 23 near the intersection of state Route D when his vehicle struck a deer and traveled off the road down a steep embankment, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Morrow was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries. Reports indicate he was not wearing a seat belt.
Lincoln man injured in Benton County
A Lincoln man was injured in an accident at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in Benton County.
Michael W. Popp, 24, was driving west on state Route H near Fire Tower Road when his vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Popp was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. Reports indicate he was not wearing a seat belt.
