The Pettis County Highway Department has closed a portion of West Main Street for chip sealing of the road. The affected area will include the roadway from the RV Park entrance to Oak Grove Lane.
Weather permitting, the project was scheduled to begin Monday afternoon and reopen by 5 p.m. Thursday. Work will be conducted during the daylight hours but the road will be closed for the entire duration.
Residents located on the affected section will be allowed access to the road work location. Please plan your travels accordingly.
The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signage and drive safely through work zones.
