This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests


Aug. 1


9:50 p.m.: Jeffery M. Hazelrigg, 39, of the 6600 block of U.S. Highway 50, was arrested in the 900 block of East 16th Street on a charge of disturbing the peace.


12:16 p.m.: Xavair D. Hall, 21, of the 400 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of disturbing the peace.


12:39 p.m.: Carla S. Stephens, 40, of the 400 block of Welch Circle, was arrested in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of shoplifting less than $150 worth of merchandise.


Aug. 2


7:25 p.m.: Michelle W. Bowman, 30, of the 800 block of West 14th Street, was arrested at her home on a charge of assault.


8:40 p.m.: Janice A.M. Bryan, 48, of the 800 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of shoplifting less than $150 worth of merchandise.


10:01 p.m.: Jada D. Kraft, 45, of the 2200 block of East 10th Street, was arrested at her home on charges of child abuse, child endangerment and third-degree domestic assault.


Aug. 3


1:19 a.m.: Francisca Quetzecva, 22, of the 2400 block of West Main Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Fourth Street and South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.


2:41 a.m.: Quintan L. Brown, 25, of Warrensburg, was arrested near the intersection of West Morgan Street and South Moniteau Avenue on a charge of failing to obey an officer.

11:38 a.m.: Theft of a television valued at $450 was reported in the 300 block of North Quincy Avenue.


6:44 p.m.: Theft of $10 worth of fuel was reported in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue.


6:45 p.m.: An assault was reported near the intersection of South Engineer Avenue and East Third Street.


Aug. 2


2:30 p.m.: Theft of an undisclosed amount of fuel from a business was reported in the 3800 block of West Broadway Boulevard.


5:31 p.m.: A vehicle-on-vehicle hit-and-run was reported in the 1500 block of South Quincy Avenue.


8:07 p.m.: Vehicle registration tags stolen from the license plates of a car was reported in the 200 block of East Fourth Street.


8:10 p.m.: An animal attack where a dog bit a man on a bicycle was reported in the 1200 block of East 11th Street.


Aug. 3


1:20 a.m.: A peace disturbance was reported near the intersection of West Fourth Street and South Kentucky Avenue.

10:09 a.m.: Harassment was reported in the 4200 block of West Main Street.


12:32 a.m.: A window shot out of a residence was reported in the 2700 block of Rosebud Circle.


11:20 p.m.: A dog bite was reported in the 23000 block of Roth Rock Road.

July 2


1:37 a.m.: Sidney J. Lane, 22, of Kingsville, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.


2:12 a.m.: Timothy J. McIntyre, 50, of Raymore, was arrested in Benton County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.


3:58 p.m.: Apolonio Ruiz-Mendez, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.


4:17 p.m.: Brandyn G. Rhule, 22, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and speeding.


8:29 p.m.: Kenneth L. Berryman, 36, of Holden, was arrested in Johnson County on a charge of driving with a revoked license.


11:45 p.m.: Adan Estrella, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated, no insurance and failing to drive on the right side of the road.


July 3


12:17 a.m.: Norman R. Paxton, 59, of Cole Camp, was arrested in Benton County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
