Are you ready to Get Fit? Sign up for the Get Fit Challenge! Your challenge starts Jan. 15 at the initial weigh-in held at the Sedalia Democrat from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a 12-week, two-person team contest. Cost is $40 per team of two to enter the 12-week challenge. Contestants must live in the Sedalia and Warrensburg circulation areas. Winners will be determined based on the percentage of overall team weight loss. The first-place team will win $1,000; second-place team will win $500; third-place team will win $250; fourth-place team will win $125 and fifth-place team will earn $75. But, every loser is a winner! For each pound lost in the Get Fit Challenge, the Democrat and Star-Journal will donate 25 cents to an area nonprofit. The overall Get Fit Challenge winner will choose the lucky nonprofit(s). The Democrat will put an additional 25 cents into the Get Fit Youth Fund.
