July 1 Crash Reports

La Monte woman arrested after crash

A man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:14 p.m. Monday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lindsey M. Emery, 26, of La Monte, was driving south on U.S. Highway 50 at state Route 127 when she struck the side of an eastbound vehicle driven by Tim Murphy, 49, while attempting to enter the eastbound lane. Murphy’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the road before coming to rest.

Murphy was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Reports indicate Murphy was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident but Emery was not.

Emery was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, careless driving involving an accident, and no seat belt.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sedalia Police Department reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
