One injured in Johnson

A Harrisonville woman sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 10:02 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Timothy J. Lamasters, 20, of Blue Springs, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50, three-tenths of a mile west of NW 271 County Road, when his vehicle overtook and struck the rear of another eastbound vehicle driven by Eric S. Surber, 27, of Warrensburg. Surber’s vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road, while Lamasters’ traveled off the right side.

A passenger in Surber’s vehicle, Jasmine M. Grim, 28, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for her injuries.

Reports indicate Lamasters, Surber and Grim were all wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Woman injured in Morgan crash

A Jefferson City woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:45 p.m. Friday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Tony R. Bolinger, 58, of Clarksburg, was driving a semi-truck east on U.S. Highway 50, four-tenths of a mile west of Potters Ford Road, when he lost a tandem wheel from a pulled unit. The wheel struck the front of a westbound vehicle driven by Arlin F. Stieferman, 59, of Jefferson City.

A passenger in Stieferman’s vehicle, Lorraine I. Stegeman, 79, was taken by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with minor injuries.

Reports indicate Bolinger, Stieferman and Stegeman were all wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Versailles man seriously injured

A Versailles man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1:18 a.m. Saturday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jack E. Medley, 18, was driving east on Ivy Bend Road, about 350 feet east of Sunshine Drive, as he was being pursued by officers from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

At one point, Medley was traveling east in the westbound lanes of Ivy Bend Road. The subject’s vehicle then crossed back into the eastbound lanes, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

Medley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for his injuries.

Woman arrested for DWI

A Rocky Mount woman was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 5 p.m. Saturday in Moniteau County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cherie A. Johnson, 21, was driving an ATV south on Stone Creek Road, one-tenth of a mile north of Elm Ford Road, when her vehicle veered to the right, causing Johnson to be ejected. The vehicle then struck Johnson.

Johnson, who was not using a safety device, was taken by private vehicle to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with minor injuries.

Johnson was also arrested on a charge of illegal operation of an ATV on a highway.
