Flooding strands, damages vehicles

Zak Izoita, left, points to a car driven by Pavel Izoita, right, that went through flood waters near 28th Street and Washington Avenue Wednesday night. Pavel Izoita said he thought the water caused by a severe thunderstorm wasn’t “that bad” and proceeded through before becoming stuck in the swiftly rising flood. The men said the water eventually climbed 4-feet ruining the Acura T3’s engine. “It was bad,” Zak Izoita, who came to help Pavel, said. “The engine is done,” Pavel Izoita added.
