Lincoln woman hurt in wreck

A Lincoln woman sustained moderate injuries in a three-vehicle accident at 4:49 p.m. Thursday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Allison F. Bellows, 43, and Larry T. Viebrock, 73, of Cole Camp, were both traveling west on state Route B, a quarter mile west of Kelly Lane, when Bellows turned into the path of Viebrock and an eastbound vehicle driven by Michael W. Popp, 26, of Lincoln, while attempting to turn into a private field entrance.

Bellows was taken by Staff for Life to University Hospital in Columbia for her injuries.

Reports indicate all three drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Sedalia man arrested for DWI

A Sedalia man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after three people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:15 a.m. Friday in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brian W. Iliff, 33, of Sedalia, was driving east in the 600 block of East Marshall Street in Sweet Springs as he was speeding and his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road before striking the ground.

Iliff sustained minor injuries and was examined on scene by the Sweet Springs Ambulance District.

Two passengers in his vehicle, Kimberly Iliff, 9, of Sedalia, and Kaitlyn M. Powell, 23, of Sweet Springs, were both taken by SSAD to I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs with minor injuries.

Reports indicate Powell was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Brian and Kimberly were not.

Brian Iliff was also arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident and no seat belt.
