This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 14

Demonte S. Allen, 21, of the 1000 block of South Garfield Street was arrested near the intersection of East Harvey Street and North New York Avenue on charges of domestic assault in the second degree and resisting/interfering with an arrest.

April 15

8:11 p.m.: Danny Lee Hayworth, 42, of the 400 block of South New York Avenue was arrested near the intersection of South Summit Avenue and East Sixth Street on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and two outstanding warrants after he was found intoxicated and lying on the ground.

April 17

11:50 p.m.: James Junior Baker, 17, of the 400 block of Prospect Avenue was arrested in the 400 block of Prospect Avenue on a charge of minor in possession of intoxicants.

Incidents

April 14

7:39 a.m.: Police are investigating the theft of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe from the 400 block of East Sixth Street. The vehicle was later recovered by Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies following a vehicle pursuit.

April 15

11:04 a.m.: A report of theft by stealing was taken in the 1600 block of East 16th Street.

5:34 p.m.: A man reported that his car was forcibly stolen from him by three males near the intersection of West Third Street and South Vermont Avenue.

April 17

4:26 a.m.: Ladarryl D. Phillip, 37, was arrested in Clay County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, no insurance, driving the wrong way, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:07 a.m.: Harvey E. Mullins, 50, of Sweet Springs, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

12:05 a.m.: Kenkori L. Grant, 33, of Edalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding, no valid license, and no valid registration.

April 16

11:25 p.m.: Charles C. Washington, 19, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, two misdemeanor Blue Springs warrants, and a Knob Noster warrant.

7:35 p.m.: Kourtney D. Hutson, 25, of St. Louis, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding, driving in the left lane and no insurance.

7:34 p.m.: David F. Bell, 53, of Raymore, was arrested in Benton County on a charge of felony driving while intoxicated.

6:57 a.m.: Joseph K. Ballard, 35, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance except marijuana, felony driving with a revoked license, a felony Clay County warrant, leaving the scene of an accident, a lane violation and a misdemeanor Morgan County warrant.

4:12 a.m.: Joseph M. Knudson, 39, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Clay County on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, and failure to signal.

1:57 a.m.: Callie R. Juhl, 34, of Maryville, was arrested in Clay County on charges of driving while intoxicated and a lane violation.

April 15

1:10 a.m.: Brian W. Iliff, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested in Saline County on charges of felony driving with a revoked license, driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident and no seat belt.

9:20 p.m.: Kelli L. Deghelder, 20, of Edwards, was arrested in Benton County on charges of possession of up to 35 grams marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
