Two injured in Johnson crash

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:25 p.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Duncan K. Parker, 22, of Polo, was driving north on state Route 13, south of County Road NE 1050, when he slowed for traffic and his vehicle was struck in the rear by a northbound vehicle driven by Chassity N. Little, 28, of Waverly.

Parker’s vehicle overturned off the roadway.

Both Little and Parker, who were both wearing a seat belt, were taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Versailles woman hurt in Morgan

A Versailles woman sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 1:37 p.m. Monday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Catherine E. Chatlos, 93, was driving north on state Route 5 at state Route TT North Junction when she made a right turn into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Patrick H. Kearns, 74, of Gravois Mills, striking his vehicle.

Chatlos was taken by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City for her injuries.

Reports indicate both Chatlos and Kearns were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
