A Sedalia woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a search warrant was served.
According to a Sedalia Police Department STING Unit news release, SPD officers served a drug-related search warrant at noon at a residence in the 1700 block of South Prospect Avenue. Seven adults were found and detained for the investigation.
A search of the residence was conducted and multiple drug-related items were found and seized including equipment and supplies for the production of K-2 and an imitation controlled substance. Methamphetamine and marijuana pipes and other smoking devices were also found.
Sandra Hurd, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of possession of an imitation controlled substance, manufacturing or possession with intent to manufacture an imitation controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hurd was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of state charges. Formal charges were not available at press time.
