Man injured in Pettis crash

A Las Vegas man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:20 p.m. Thursday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Anthony Jefferson, 25, was driving east on state Route Y, east of Mahin, when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road. Jefferson over-corrected and traveled off the left side of the road. His vehicle then struck a culvert and overturned several times.

Jefferson, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at the scene and then taken by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

Sedalia woman injured

A Sedalia woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:45 p.m. Thursday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alisha M. Anderson, 26, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50, two-tenths of a mile east of state Route D, when she stopped for traffic. Another eastbound vehicle driven by Bonnie L. Mullins, 43, of Sedalia, failed to stop and struck the rear of Anderson’s vehicle.

Anderson was taken by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Mullins and Anderson were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
