Teen killed in crash

A Syracuse teenager was killed in a two-vehicle accident at 9:35 p.m. Sunday in Moniteau County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lilyann M. Nanneman, 16, was driving west on U.S. Highway 50, one mile west of County Road Snorgrass, when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Donald W. Becker, 47, of Tipton, head-on.

Nanneman was pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m. at the scene by Moniteau County Coroner Dr. Loyd Fulks.

Becker and a passenger in his vehicle, Lisa L. Becker, 48, of Tipton, were both taken by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with moderate injuries.

Reports indicate all three parties were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Sedalia man hurt in Benton

A Sedalia man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:40 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Tommy J. Lemler, 57, was driving a motorcycle south on state Route A, one-tenth of a mile south of Miesner Lane, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch, causing the motorcycle to overturn twice before coming to rest.

Lemler, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Cole Camp Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries.

Man injured in motorcycle wreck

A Carl Junction man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 2 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rodney A. Spencer, 62, was driving a motorcycle north on state Route H, one-tenth of a mile south of Cate Lane, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck the ground, causing Spencer to be ejected.

Spencer, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Cole Camp Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries.

Woman seriously injured in Henry

A Blairstown woman sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 9:25 p.m. Sunday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Amber J. Carter, 36, was driving a motorcycle east on state Route N, east of state Route O, when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to travel off the right side of the road. The vehicle then overturned, ejecting Carter.

Carter, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Golden Valley EMS to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for her injuries.

Man injured in Morgan

A Rocky Mount man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:25 p.m. Saturday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Howard D. Robinson, 74, of Osage Beach, was driving east on state Route 52, a quarter mile west of Buttercup Road, when he drove into the rear of another eastbound vehicle driven by Edward D. Stuermann, 72.

Stuermann was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Robinson and Stuermann were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
