Culligan of West Central Missouri in Sedalia announced the acquisition of Quicksilver Water Co., producers of Chouteau bottled water.
“After 35 years in the bottled water business we have decided to retire. Fortunately, we have found someone who shares our passion for good customer service,”said Quicksilver Water Co. Owner Chip Thompson. “Culligan has an outstanding reputation for serving the customer and we are confident they will continue to provide service at the level our customers have come to expect. It is important that the business retain local ownership for the employees and the community. We are not going anywhere, Pam will continue working her nursing duties at Bothwell. We look forward to now being a Culligan customer.”
“Our family has been in the water conditioning business for over 31 years and in the bottled water business for 25 years,” said Culligan Water Co. Owner Michael Smith. “We strive to provide quality products at a reasonable price and are pleased to be your water and coffee service provider. It is our intent to continue the level of service you have experienced from Quicksilver Water Co. with very little change during the transition. We agree it is a plus for the community and the employees to retain local ownership.”
The change was effective May 1. Culligan is located at 1220 W. Main St. in Sedalia. They can be reached at 660-827-2770 and at www.culliganmo.com.
