Sedalia man arrested for DWI

A Sedalia man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 3:25 p.m. Friday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lamberto Alejo-Diaz, 36, was driving north on Cherry Tree Lane, nine-tenths of a mile south of Cloney Road, when he failed to negotiate a curved portion of the roadway. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Alejo-Diaz sustained minor injuries but refused treatment on scene.

He was also arrested on charges of identity theft, failure to drive on the right half of the road, no valid license and no seat belt.

Man injured in Johnson

A Warrensburg man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:20 a.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brandon L. Kemper, 21, was driving north in the 400 block of Business 13 when his vehicle struck two signs, a curb and another sign. His vehicle then traveled off the north side of the roundabout, struck an embankment and came to rest.

Kemper, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with minor injuries.

Two injured in Johnson crash

Two Chilhowee residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:50 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Everett C. Wood, 55, was driving west on state Route 2 at Southwest 701 Road when his vehicle traveled off the roadway. Wood over-corrected and his vehicle then traveled off the opposite side of the road and overturned.

Wood and a passenger in his vehicle, Jason L. Mullen, 14, were both taken by private vehicle to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Mullen and Wood were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
