Woman arrested for DWI

A Centerview woman was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 8:12 p.m. Saturday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cody D. Tarr, 38, was driving east on County Road SW 200, 400 feet west of SW 371, when her vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a sign and a fence before coming to rest in a field.

Tarr, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Sedalia woman arrested for DWI

A Sedalia woman was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 12:23 a.m. Sunday in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brittany E. Simmons, 21, was driving south on state Route WW when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and impacted an embankment. The vehicle then crossed the roadway where it impacted another embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its top.

Simmons, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

She was also arrested on charges of failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident.

Sedalia man injured in Pettis

A Sedalia man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:25 p.m. Sunday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Matthew M. Williams, 34, was driving east on state Route HH, east of Shaver Creek, when he choked and lost consciousness. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway where it struck the ground and a fence before coming to rest in a field.

Williams, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

Smithton pair injured

Two Smithton residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:31 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Christopher B. Smith, 23, was driving north on U.S. Highway 65, one-tenth of a mile north of Marina Road, when he lost control of his vehicle while traveling on wet pavement, which caused the vehicle to travel off the roadway, impact a road sign and a concrete culvert.

Smith and a passenger, Ciara R. Potter, 22, were both taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Potter and Smith were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Calhoun teen hurt in wreck

A Calhoun teenager was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Andy T. Redding, 16, was driving east on state Route 2, east of County Road SW 271, when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, where it struck a ditch and overturned.

Redding, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.

Barnett man seriously injured

A Barnett man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:20 p.m. Saturday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ethan R. Carden, 18, was driving south on state Route Y, one mile north of state Route W, when his motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting Carden.

Carden, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Mid-MO Ambulance District to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach for his injuries.

Warrensburg man injured

A Warrensburg man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:45 a.m. Sunday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dinnis L. Kidwell, 34, of Warrensburg, was driving north on state Route W, north of Marvin Cutoff, when he failed to negotiate a curve and his motorcycle traveled off the roadway. The vehicle overturned while returning to the road. Reports indicate Kidwell was driving too fast for the conditions.

Kidwell, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach with minor injuries.

Clinton man arrested for DWI

A Clinton man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a two-vehicle accident at 3:52 a.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael K. McDonald, 31, was driving north on Business 13 near County Road SE 190 when he traveled across the center of the roadway and struck a southbound semi-truck driven by Jeffery A. Kraft, 38, of Lexington.

McDonald was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with serious injuries.

Reports indicate both McDonald and Kraft were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

McDonald was also arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, failure to register a motor vehicle and careless and imprudent driving.
