Lincoln teen injured in accident
A Lincoln teenager was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:06 p.m. Friday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cannon L. Scarlett, 16, was driving east on state Route H, a half mile south of Spring Lake Drive, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. Scarlett overcorrected while returning , causing his vehicle to overturn. His vehicle then crossed the road and came to rest on the left side of the road.
Scarlett, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.
Pedestrian injured in Benton accident
A Buckner man sustained moderate injuries after he was struck by a vehicle at 10:28 p.m. Friday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Matthew G. Stegink, 32, of Independence, was driving west on Lakeview Avenue, one mile east of Plum Street, when a pedestrian, Brett W. Ferguson, walked into the path of Stegink’s towed unit.
Ferguson was taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries.
Windsor residents injured in accident
Two Windsor residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:13 p.m. Saturday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Juan L. Galloway, 23, attempted to make a left turn onto Elm Branch Road, south of Windsor City Park, when his vehicle began sliding on the gravel road. The vehicle then crossed the center of the road and traveled off the left side, where it overturned and came to rest on its top in a creek.
Galloway was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with moderate injuries. A passenger in his vehicle, Sarah Olyslager, 20, was also taken to WMMC with minor injuries.
Reports indicate both Galloway and Olyslager were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Bolivar woman injured in Benton crash
A Bolivar woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Eugene Hays, age unknown, of Lincoln, was driving in an unknown direction on state Route AC, one mile west of U.S. Highway 65, when his vehicle overtook and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Eden M. Roberts, 38, of Bolivar.
Roberts’ vehicle then struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Shawn D. Crouch, 37, of Lincoln.
Roberts was taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.
It is unknown if any of the drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
