June 29 Police Reports

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

June 26

9:50 a.m.: A victim in the 1900 block of South Grand Avenue reported unauthorized debit card transactions in the Kansas City area for a total of $540.89.

4:31 p.m.: Billy B. Brown, 29, of the 1000 block of East 10th Street, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing and driving with a revoked/suspended license. Officers responded to a business for a report of shoplifting. The complainant reported they observed the suspect push out a cart full of clothing and alcohol without paying.

June 27

8:52 a.m.: Glenn T.D. Grant, 31, of the 200 block of North Quincy Avenue, was arrested in the 1800 block of South Barrett Avenue on a charge of failure to obey. Officers responded to a disturbance between a husband and wife. Upon arrival, they found the husband in a vehicle with the wife outside it yelling at him. The subjects were separated and while officers were talking with them, a third subject arrived. Officers told him several times to stay at his vehicle, but he refused. He was put into custody for interfering with an investigation.


June 24

9:07 p.m.: Officers responded to a disturbance near the intersection of East 12th Street and South Thompson Avenue. A male subject reported he was sitting on a bucket resting when three male subjects drove up and started yelling at him. They then chased the man down the road after one subject pulled out a knife. The three subjects then got back in the vehicle and left the area.

June 27

10:45 p.m.: Andrew R. Lutz, 28, of Tipton, was arrested in Morgan County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
