Warsaw woman hurt in Henry

A Warsaw woman sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kelly R. Bethel, 48, was driving north on County Road SW 100 at state Route 7 when she attempted to pass a westbound road-grader, driven by James A. Bradford, 63, of Clinton, as he was attempting to make a left turn. The vehicles then struck each other.

Bethel was taken by private vehicle to St. Luke’s Medical Center for her injuries.

Reports indicate Bethel was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Bradford was not.

Green Ridge man seriously injured

A Green Ridge man sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Elliott D. Riedl, 20, of Green Ridge, was driving north on Voting House Road, south of state Route AA, approaching a curve as Jamie G. Waibel, 44, was driving south. Riedl’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck Waibel’s vehicle.

Waibel was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries.

Reports indicate Riedl was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Waibel was not.
