Early morning shooting injures two


Members of the Sedalia Police Department remained on the scene investigating an early morning shooting Thursday, after responding to a call of shots being fired at a house in the 1800 block of South Sneed Avenue. The Department is asking for the public’s help with any information they may have regarding the incident.

Two people were shot early this morning at a house in the 1800 block of South Sneed Avenue.

Sedalia Police responded to a call at 4:50 a.m. of shots fired at the home.

Two victims, a male and a female were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center and later were transported to the University of Missouri Columbia for treatment of their injuries.

Their condition is unknown at this time, according to officers on the scene.

The victims names are being withheld pending notification of family.

A juvenile, who was not wounded, was in the home at the time of the incident.

Officers are in the initial phase of the investigation and are asking the public for any information they may have regarding the shooting.
