Man injured in Henry County

A Lawrence, Kansas, man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5 a.m. Thursday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Patrck A. Nourse, 43, was driving west on state Route 18, three-tenths of a mile east of SW County Road 1501, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road due to his vision being obstructed. His vehicle then overturned, coming to rest on its right side.

Nourse, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Golden Valley ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.

Three injured in Johnson

Three people sustained moderate to serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 9:40 p.m. Thursday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ericka N. Johnson, 23, of Sedalia, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50, a quarter mile east of County Road NW 151st, when she struck the towed unit of another eastbound vehicle driven by Timothy L. Smith, 47, of Concordia, as he was slowing to make a right turn.

Johnson was taken by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with moderate injuries. Two passengers in her vehicle, Brandyn C. Porter, 23, of Sedalia, and Tiffany D. Traweek, 24, of Fortuna, were both taken by JCAD to RMC with serious injuries.

Reports indicate Johnson, Smith and Porter were all wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Traweek was not.

Windsor woman seriously injured

A Windsor woman sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 4:30 a.m. Friday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Traci L. Adams-Howell, 51, was driving south on Old 65 Highway at North Lincoln Road when she failed to negotiate a left-hand turn at the intersection. Her vehicle then traveled off the road, striking a ditch. It then overturned and came to rest on its wheels.

Adams-Howell, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for her injuries.

Knob Noster man hurt in Pettis

A Knob Noster man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 9:03 a.m. Friday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Benjamin J. Brown, 61, was driving south on South Grand Road, three miles south of Sedalia, when his motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch. After impact, the vehicle overturned and Brown was ejected.

Brown, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries.

Smithton man arrested for DWI

A Smithton man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 9:43 p.m. Thursday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, William C. Beck, 61, was driving north on state Route 135, 824 feet north of state Route NN, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. Beck over-corrected and his vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

Beck, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by the Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.
