Calhound man hurt in Benton
A Calhound man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:25 a.m. Thursday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Camden J. Allee, 16, of Windsor, was driving east on state Route 52, one-tenth of a mile east of Dodge Pond Avenue, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. He over-corrected and the vehicle began skidding across the center of the road. Allee over-corrected a second time, causing the vehicle to again travel off the right side of the road, strike a ditch and overturn, coming to rest on the roof.
A passenger in his vehicle, William H. Moon, 41, was taken by Cole Camp Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.
Reports indicate both Allee and Moon were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sedalia Police Department reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
