Four injured in Saturday wreck

A two-vehicle accident, in the 2800 block of West Broadway Boulevard, Saturday about 1 p.m. caused minor injuries to four people, three of them children. A woman passenger was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center. The others were taken by private vehicle to BRHC. Sedalia Police Department Officer Casey DeVorss said the accident occurred when a small red Chevrolet hit the rear-end of a Toyota Tundra in the left turn lane going west.

PCAD emergency responders comfort a small child Saturday who was involved in a two-vehicle accident near Industrial Road and West Broadway Boulevard. SPD Officer Devorss said the occupant in the Chevrolet said her brakes failed causing her to crash into the Toyota truck. “As far as charges, it’s still ongoing,” he added. “The driver of the striking vehicle has no insurance and it looks like at least two of the children were not properly restrained.”
