Springfield man killed in Henry

A Springfield man was killed in a two-vehicle accident at 9:12 p.m. Monday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gary L. Hoos, 60, was driving east on state Route 7 when his vehicle struck a westbound vehicle driven by Linda S. Hiserote, 66, of Nelson, head-on.

Hoos was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Hiserote, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Golden Valley EMS to GVMH with moderate injuries.

It is unknown if Hoos was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Smithton woman hurt in Pettis

A Smithton woman sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 7:37 a.m. Tuesday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Leticia Teiberis, 49, was driving south on U.S. Highway 65, south of state Route 765, when her vehicle, which was traveling too fast for the conditions, traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Teiberis, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for her injuries.

Kansas man hurt at Lake

A Princeton, Kansas, man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle boating accident at noon Saturday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Robert Wolfe, 25, was driving a Yamaha waverunner as he was jumping a wake and was struck by an unknown vessel that left the scene.

Wolfe, who was using a safety device, was taken by private vehicle to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach for his injuries.
