Man arrested for DWI in Henry
A Warrensburg man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 3 p.m. Sunday in Henry County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kevin E. Jones, 54, was driving a Yamaha Zuma south on state Route Y, a half mile south of County Road NE 1100, when his vehicle traveled off the road and overturned. Both Jones and his passenger, Rebecca L. Aker, 53, were ejected.
Jones was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with moderate injuries. Aker was also taken to WMMC, but was then taken by air EMS to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with serious injuries.
Reports indicate both Aker and Jones were not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Jones was also arrested on a charge of no valid driver’s license.
Versailles teen injured in Morgan
A Versailles teenager was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:07 p.m. Thursday in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Adam G. Guinn, 18, of Versailles, was driving south on state Route TT, 52 feet south of Shady Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, striking a culvert. The vehicle returned to the road, fishtailed and traveled off the left side of the road, striking a sign. It again returned to the road, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a sign, culvert and tree.
A passenger in his vehicle, Clayton A. Ritchie, 16, was taken by private vehicle to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach with minor injuries.
Reports indicate Ritchie was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Guinn was not.
