Man injured in Johnson County

A Warrensburg man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10 p.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael S. Brant, 46, was driving west on state Route DD, east of County Road SE 341, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

Brant, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for his injuries.

Odessa woman hurt in Johnson

An Odessa woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael D. Stokes, 41, of Warrensburg, was driving west on County Road NW 131 at NW U.S Highway 50 when his vehicle struck the rear of another westbound vehicle driven by Dorothy M. Betts, 79. Both vehicles traveled off the side of the road.

Betts was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Jefferson City with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Stokes and Betts were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Two injured in Johnson wreck

Two people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, David A. Ross, 30, of Liberty, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50, just east of state Route 131, when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and onto the westbound lanes. His vehicle then struck the rear of a westbound vehicle driven by Rebekah L. Phoenix, 20, of Centerview. Both vehicles traveled off the north side of U.S. 50.

Ross, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center for his injuries.

Phoenix, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
