Sedalia woman injured in crash
A Sedalia woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:55 p.m. Friday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Nathan A. Cramer, 24, of Houstonia, was driving south on state Route T at Buckley Road when his vehicle traveled across the centerline and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Bonnie A. Jeter, 58, which was attempting to negotiate a sharp curve. Both vehicles came to rest on the road.
Jeter was taken by Sweet Springs Ambulance District to I-70 Community Hospital with minor injuries.
Reports indicate both Jeter and Cramer were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Marshall teen killed in Saline crash
A Marshall teenager was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 7:11 p.m. Friday in Saline County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Chasity J. Roll, 19, of Marshall, was driving west on Watermill Road at Salt Fork Creek when she overcorrected, causing the vehicle to leave the road and overturn into the creek.
All occupants except the rear middle passenger were able to exit the vehicle safely. Flood waters caused the vehicle to float down stream.
Carl H. Girard, 16, was pronounced dead by the Saline County Coroner’s Office. Roll and the three other occupants did not sustain any injuries.
It is unknown if Girard and Roll were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The three other passengers were not wearing seat belts.
Lee’s Summit man injured in Pettis
A Lee’s Summit man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 11:28 p.m. Saturday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael D. Barrett, 41, was driving north on U.S. Highway 65, north of Bothwell Park Road, when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road through the median, across the southbound lanes, off the west side of U.S. Highway 65, went up an embankment and overturned numerous times and struck a fence.
Barrett, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Life Flight to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for his injuries.
Stover residents injured in accident
Two Stover residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:24 p.m. Saturday in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Anne M. Hankins, 21, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was driving north on state Route 135 when she was making a left turn onto Cup Tree Drive, and turned into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Maranda D. Savell, 38.
Savell and a passenger in her vehicle, Isaiah Savell, age unknown, were taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
It is unknown if Maranda and Isaiah were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
