“Steppenwolf and probably the Red Dirt (Country Night),”Kayla Shrewsbury, of Nevada, Missouri, said. Shrewsbury added that she likes Red Dirt and her stepfather wanted to see Steppenwolf. “That was his pick and he asked me if I wanted to go, so I said ‘sure,’” she said. Shrewsbury was at the fair Friday with her daughter Jaycee, 5.

“I do sorely wish that I was able to see Hawk Nelson, but I’ll be at work so I won’t be able to,” Silas Arnold, of Buckner, said. “That’s the concert I’d most like to see. I love the morals behind them, they’re a Christian band. I really like how upbeat and positive they are, they don’t do too many slow songs. It’s just good praise music.” Arnold said if he was able to attend he would go with his girlfriend Charity Goza, left.

The Democrat will randomly ask fair-goers a different question each day of the Missouri State Fair to find out their opinions on various Fair topics. Reporter Faith Bemiss asked Friday’s question: “Which musical group are you looking forward to at the 2016 Missouri State Fair and why?”
