Two injured in Johnson County
Two Warrensburg residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 9:50 a.m. Sunday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sherman E. Miller, 49, of Warrensburg, was stopped to make a left-hand turn while traveling north on Business 13, 500 feet south of County Road NW 425. Another northbound vehicle driven by Shannon D. Sanders, 23, of Concordia, struck the rear of Miller’s vehicle.
Two passengers in Miller’s vehicle, Aralym J. Miller, 9, and Catherine A. Miller, 54, were both taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.
Reports indicate all four people involved were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Stover man hurt in Morgan
A Stover man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 4:20 p.m. Sunday in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Larry D. Butler, 71, was driving south on Ivy Bend Road, 30 feet north of Page Drive, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Butler, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach for his injuries.
Man injured in Moniteau wreck
A Russellville man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:54 p.m. Sunday in Moniteau County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Roberto L. Oropeza, 21, was driving south on state Route T, one-tenth of a mile north of Genny Road, when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, overturned and struck a fence.
Oropeza, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with minor injuries.
