Lincoln man injured in accident
A Lincoln man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:50 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Edward M. Thompson, 62, was driving south on state Route B, south of Cole Camp, when he attempted to avoid a northbound vehicle that had crossed the centerline. Thompson’s motorcycle then traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.
Thompson, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Cole Camp Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for injuries.
Holden man injured in Johnson crash
A Holden man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, William J. Reynolds, 43, was driving west on U.S. Highway 50, one-tenth of a mile east of state Route M, when he swerved to avoid an uninvolved vehicle. Reynolds’ vehicle left the road and overturned, coming to rest on its side.
Reynolds, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for his injuries.
