Clinton man hurt in Johnson

A Clinton man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:36 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ronald K. Aseiner, 55, was driving north on Business 13 at County Road SE 150 when he traveled into the southbound lane and struck the rear of a southbound vehicle driven by Jordan J. Henchey, 27, of Warrensburg.

Aseiner was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Aseiner and Henchey were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Man hurt in motorcycle wreck

A Kingsville man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 9:06 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Zachary T. Stimac, 23, was driving a motorcycle south and Courtney T. Jenkins, 43, of Sedalia, was also driving a vehicle south. Jenkins’ vehicle struck a deer, causing the deer to travel into the path of Stimac. Stimac’s motorcycle struck the deer and overturned, ejecting him.

Stimac, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with minor injuries.

Reports indicate Jenkins was wearing a seat belt.

Teen injured in Johnson County

A Holden teenager was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:15 a.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Caitlin E. Hudson, 17, was driving east on state Route KK, west of 1101 Road, when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road where it struck a phone box and then a tree.

Hudson, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Man injured in Johnson wreck

A Warrensburg man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:15 a.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cody L. Hitchman, 22, was driving west on state Route DD at SE 591 County Road when he swerved to avoid traffic ahead. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Hitchman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Two killed in Johnson wreck

Two Blairstown residents were killed in a two-vehicle accident at 7:30 a.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alicia A. McGinnis, 47, was driving north on state Route Z at U.S. Highway 50 when she pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by Chelsea R. Garton, 20, of Kansas City.

McGinnis and a passenger in her vehicle, Kacee R. McGinnis, 8, were both pronounced dead by Johnson County Coroner C.L. Holdren.

Garton and a passenger in her vehicle, Meredith L. Hampton, 20, of Lenexa, Kansas, were both taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with minor injuries.

Reports indicate Garton, Hampton and Kacee McGinnis were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Alicia McGinnis was not.

Four injured in Henry accident

Four Clinton residents sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 9:58 a.m. Tuesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jesse J. Heistand, 42, was driving north on state Route PP, just south of 100 Road, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. He over-corrected and his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. His vehicle traveled down an embankment.

Heistand and three passengers in his vehicle, Misty A. Heistand, 31, Waylnn R. Heistand, infant, and Zachary D. Heistand, 3, were all taken by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton for their injuries.

Reports indicate all four occupants were using a safety device at the time of the accident.

Man hurt in Henry County

A Reeds Spring man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ryan J. O’Dell, 20, of Merriam, Kansas, was driving east on state Route 7 at County Road NW 221 when he changed lanes into the path of an eastbound motorcycle driven by Franklin L. Brockelman, 52. O’Dell’s vehicle then overtook and struck the rear of Brockelman’s vehicle.

Brockelman, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.

Two injured in motorcycle wreck

Two Versailles residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Timothy R. Jamison, 57, was driving a motorcycle west on Cup Tree Drive, one-tenth of a mile west of Clay Road, when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Jamison, who sustained minor injuries, and his passenger, Andrea L. Covinton, 55, who sustained moderate injuries, were both taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach for their injuries.

Reports indicate both Covington and Jamison were wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Man injured in Morgan County

A Richmond Heights man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:40 p.m. Monday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jose R. Fonseca, 47, of O’Fallon, was driving west on state Route HH at state Route 5 when he failed to stop at a stop sign. His vehicle struck the front of a northbound vehicle driven by Stephen J. Schranz, 45.

Schranz was taken by ambulance to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City for his injuries.

Reports indicate both Schranz and Fonseca were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Man arrested for BWI

A St. Joseph man was arrested for boating while intoxicated after a boating accident in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Scott J. Day, 41, was driving a pontoon west on the Lake of the Ozarks north shore at the 77.7 mile-marker along the shoreline and his boat ran aground.

Day, who was not using a safety device, was also arrested on a charge of operating a motor boat in a careless and imprudent manner.

No injuries were reported.
