A Marshall teen was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a one vehicle accident at 1 a.m. in Saline County according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Harley G. Collette, 18, was driving west of Orion Road on state Route 240 when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center of the roadway and began to swerve. His vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch, before overturning. The vehicle then came to a rest on its wheels partially blocking the roadway.

Collette, who suffered moderate injuries in the accident refused treatment at the scene. Reports indicate Collette was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident was also arrested for careless and imprudent driving.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
