KC woman injured in Johnson

A Kansas City woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bobbie L. Levingston, 46, was driving west on U.S. Highway 50, 600 feet from County Road NW 1801st, when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and became high-centered.

Levingston, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Lee’s Summit Medical Center with minor injuries.

Two hurt in Johnson wreck

Two people sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Perry R. Ayler, 88, of Garden City, was driving north on state Route T, 1.1 miles south of County Road SW 800, when he attempted a left turn into a private drive and turned into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Max W. Ashworth, 42, of Oak Grove.

Ashworth, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for his injuries. Ayler, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit for his injuries.

Sedalia man arrested for DWI

A Sedalia man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a two-vehicle accident that injured four people at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Eugene W. Sharp, 31, was driving north on U.S. Highway 65, just north of Sacajawea Road, when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Karissa Horst, 23, of Lincoln, head-on.

Sharp was taken by Staff for Life to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. Horst and two passengers in her vehicle, Loretta A. Miller, 24, and Rhoda L. Schrock, 19, both of Lincoln, were taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.

Reports indicate Horst and Schrock were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Miller was not. It is unknown if Sharp was wearing a seat belt.

Sharp was also arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), second degree assault, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, driving with a revoked license and careless and imprudent driving.

Warrensburg woman injured in wreck

A Warrensburg woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:50 a.m. Thursday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jennifer L. Gleason, 30, was driving north on County Road SE 251, eight-tenths of a mile south of state Route Y, when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

Gleason, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center with minor injuries.
