Air time and obstacles

Dallas Waller, 13, captures some serious air with his Flying Neutron bike Friday morning at the Skate Park at Katy Park located at 24th Street and Grand Avenue. He was at the park with his father and two brothers. “We’re from Versailles and we try to come every weekend if we can,” Waller said. “There’s no place like it there.”

Issac Waller, 15, looks to the north while watching a Coca Cola truck drive by in the distance. Waller was taking a break after spending the early part of his day riding and perfecting some stunt moves on his Kent Ambush bike at the Katy Skate Park.

Paul Waller, left, has a conversation with his son, Issac Waller, after watching Dallas Waller ride. The two were offering encouragement and support to Dallas after he successfully completed an aerial maneuver at the skate park. “I used to ride when I was their age,” Paul Waller said. “I’m too old for it, but I’m doing it for my kids. They really enjoy it and it’s a way for us to spend time together.”
