Two teens injured in Pettis accident

Two Sedalia teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mackenzie R. Zeiler, 16, was driving west on Fristoe Road, a half mile east of Claycomb Road, when she failed to negotiate a curve and her vehicle struck a tree.

Zeiler and a passenger in her vehicle, Bailey L. Norton, 16, were both taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Zeiler and Norton were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Lincoln woman seriously injured in crash

A Lincoln woman sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 11:41 a.m. Thursday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Linzie S. Green, 19, was driving north on state Route O, just south of Beaman Road, when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck a fence and overturned.

Green, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Air Ambulance to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for her injuries.

Springfield woman injured in accident

A Springfield woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9:13 p.m. Thursday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Olga E. Jones, 50, was driving south on U.S. Highway 65, one-tenth of a mile north of Lincoln, when she lost control of her vehicle and it struck a guardrail.

Jones, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

Warrensburg teen injured in crash

A Warrensburg teenager sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:04 a.m. Friday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hunter G. Calhoon, 14, of Warrensburg, was driving south on NE 221 Road at NE 1150 Road when a passenger, Caleb S. Calhoon, 14, fell out of the bed of the vehicle and struck the roadway.

Caleb Calhoon was taken by Life Flight to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for his injuries.

Reports indicate both Caleb and Hunter were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

NKC man arrested for DWI

A North Kansas City man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 11:27 a.m. Friday in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Richard E. Roberson, 46, was driving west on Interstate 70 at the 78.6 mile marker when his motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned, ejecting Roberson.

Roberson, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Air Ambulance to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

He was also arrested on charges of possession of oxycontin, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and careless and imprudent driving.

Sedalia man injured in crash

A Sedalia man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9:45 Wednesday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Prestwick Farms Road in Sedalia.

According to a Sedalia Police Department report, Justin M. Williams, 26, of the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50 when he crossed the center of the road. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, collided with a utility pole, then collided with the guide wire on the pole.

The front driver’s side tire came off after the collision, and the vehicle came to rest approximately 100 feet east of the pole.

Williams was taken by Air Ambulance to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for his injuries.
