Two injured in Henry crash
Two women were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday in Henry County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dorotha J. Godwin, 36, of La Monte, was driving east on state Route 52, east of SW 51 Road, when she crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Robin R. McClure, 50, of Deepwater, head-on.
Godwin, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with serious injuries. McClure, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Staff for Life to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City with moderate injuries.
Two injured in Morgan accident
Two women were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Amanda L. Moore, 28, of Macks Creek, was driving west on Lake Road when her vehicle traveled off the road to avoid a deer, Moore overcorrected, causing the vehicle to return to the road, overturn and skid to rest in the road.
Moore and a passenger in her vehicle, Regina M. Baldwin, 49, of Imperial, were both taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. Baldwin sustained moderate injuries, while Moore sustained minor injuries.
Reports indicate both Baldwin and Moore were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
