Edwards woman died in Benton accident
An Edwards woman died in a single-vehicle accident at 12:45 p.m. Thursday in Benton County.
Susan Hornback, 66, was driving south on state Route 7, 0.7 miles south of state Route W, when her vehicle crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Hornback, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 2:23 p.m. by Benton County Deputy Devin Clark.
Edwards man injured in Benton accident
An Edwards man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:50 a.m. Friday in Benton County.
Daniel S. Norris, 33, was driving west on state Route H, 0.7 miles east of Fire Tower Avenue, when his vehicle traveled off the side of the roadway and struck the embankment, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Norris, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
