Adrian man injured in crash

An Adrian man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lorna G. Poston, 49, of Urich, was driving north on state Route 18 at state Route K when she pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Lamont M. Vernardos, 61, striking the front of his vehicle.

Vernardos was taken by Golden Valley Ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Poston and Vernardos were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Marshall woman arrested for DWI

A Marshall woman was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 12:53 a.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jacqueline L. Hernandez, 20, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50, four-tenths of a mile west of NE 801 Road, when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. The vehicle came to rest in a ditch on its wheels.

Hernandez, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

She was also arrested on a charge of careless and imprudent driving.
