Boone County Draft Horse, Mule Sale opens


High Auction LLC sells off field equipment and large kettles Wednesday in the parking lot west of the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Wednesday was the first day of the Boone County Draft Horse and Mule Sale on the Missouri State Fairgrounds, which will be hosted through Friday.

A pair of Percheron draft horses owned by the John Shetler Family, of El Dorado Springs, are hitched to a large red wagon and stand in front of the Mathewson Exhibition Center awaiting direction from their driver Wednesday morning. The Boone County Draft Horse and Mule Sale began Wednesday with auctions and sales of antiques, carriages and tack. Mules and horses will be sold Thursday and Friday.
