A Smithton woman was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 2:35 a.m. Saturday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kari M. Robinson, 32, was driving east on McVey Road, east of Goodwill Chapel Road, when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle then drove through the ditch and became airborne. It then traveled across a creek and struck the opposite embankment.

Robinson, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sedalia Police Department reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
