Dickie Doo Bar-B-Q Events

Dickie Doo Bar-B-Que, 4800 S. Limit Ave., will host a Songwriters’ Showcase at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday; a Jam Night every Thursday; and a Gospel Hour at 12:30 p.m. every Sunday.

Today: 8:30 p.m. The Harms Brothers Birthday Bash.

Saturday: 8:30 p.m. Sweetshot.

Aug. 27: 8 p.m. Jam Night Hosted by Clay Clear of Dirt Road Addiction.

Aug. 28: 8:30 p.m. Oxline Road.

Aug. 29: 7 p.m.: Dirt Road Addiction and Full Moon Band.

Grateful Dead Experience at Lake

“Grateful Dead Experience: The Schwag” will take place today at Ozarks Amphitheater, 2367 N. state Route 5 in Camdenton. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the performance beginning at 6:30 p.m., at Ozarks Amphitheater. Tickets are available at www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/860447. Prices are $18 to $60.

SpoFest performances

SpoFest, an evening of original spoken word created by local poets and writers, will be hosted from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Café Blackadder in Warrensburg.

Warrensburg musician Tony Shaffer will read original work and perform acoustic music during the event. In addition, four first time readers will be reading for SpoFest: Damon Freed, Jack Miller, Scott Umphrey and Eddie Osborne.
