Warrensburg man killed after being hit by train
A Warrensburg man was killed Saturday after being struck by a Union Pacific train as he was walking on the railroad tracks near Washington Street in Warrensburg.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, David J. Lindequist, 22, was struck by the locomotive at about 2 a.m. while walking west on the railroad tracks. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Johnson County coroner.
Man injured in crash in Saline County
A man sustained moderate injuries in a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 65 in Saline County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Robert M. Runyan, 60, of Bosworth, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 65 around 12:25 p.m. when one of his tires flattened, causing his vehicle to exit the highway. The car struck a ditch and overturned and Runyan was ejected from the vehicle.
Runyan was transported to Carroll County Hospital by Saline County EMS.
