Chilhowee man injured in crash
A Chilhowee man sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 5:24 p.m. Saturday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dennis D. Stoneking, 49, was driving west on state Route 52 when his motorcycle traveled off the left side of the road. His vehicle struck the embankment, becoming airborne before striking a parked vehicle. Stoneking was ejected.
Stoneking, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia for his injuries.
Five injured in Saline accident
Five Marshall residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:15 p.m. Sunday in Saline County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Christopher E. Edmonds, 32, was driving east on 260th Road, two-tenths of a mile west of state Route 240, when her vehicle struck a series of potholes. Edmonds lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the right side of the road and strike a tree stump.
Edomnds and two passengers in his vehicle, Chloe E. Edmonds, 3, and Emma R. Edmonds, 3, were all taken by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. Two other passengers, Ashley K. Edmonds, 31, and Corey D. Edmonds, 12, were taken by private vehicle to University Hospital with minor injuries.
Reports indicate Ashley and Corey were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Chloe, Christopher and Emma were not.
