Warsaw man injured in crash

A Warsaw man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kermit Nine, 76, was driving south on state Route 13, 203 feet south of state Route 52 east junction, when he attempted an improper U-turn on state Route 13, turning into the path of another southbound vehicle driven by Melissa Ryun, 41, of Clinton.

Nine was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Ryun was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Nine and Ryun were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Kingsville teen injured in crash

A Kingsville teenager was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cassidy S. Coleman, 16, was driving north on state Route AA, four-tenths of a mile south of County Road NW 530, when she attempted to avoid striking an animal in the road. Her vehicle then traveled off the east side of the road and struck a tree.

Coleman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Lee’s Summit Medical Center with minor injuries.
