Springfield man injured in Henry crash
A Springfield man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:05 a.m. Friday in Henry County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hal W. Bender, 49, was driving north on state Route 7, three-tenths of a mile south of state Route B, when his vehicle’s tire became disabled. Bender lost control of the vehicle, which traveled across the northbound lanes and into the median. It then overturned in the median and came to rest on its top in a southbound lane of Route 7.
Bender, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Golden Valley EMS to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville with minor injuries.
Two injured in Pettis crash
Two Houstonia residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:55 p.m. Saturday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alexis S. Butler, 18, was driving south on state Route T near Buckley Road when she failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. Her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road where it struck a highway sign, a ditch and a fence before coming to rest in a field.
Butler and a passenger in her vehicle, Larry M. Nease, 28, were both taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.
Reports indicate Butler was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident but Nease was not.
